AMSOIL Smooths Rough Ride for Honda Shadow VT750C

AMSOIL Customer Lloyd Blazs of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, recently converted his bike to AMSOIL and has had excellent results. Blazs bought a new Honda Shadow VT750C and didn't think much of the shifting problems and excessive in the clutch. He thought a little tightness was normal in a new bike.

"After a very respectable break-in period of just over 5,000 miles, everything was broken-in and loosened up, yet I still had a clutch that would grab, resulting in lurching or stalling the engine," said Blazs.

Blazs was using conventional motorcycle oil throughout the break-in period, and considered synthetic oil as a possible solution to his problems. After considerable research, Blazs settled on AMSOIL 20W-50 Motorcycle Oil.

"After changing the filter and pouring in the AMSOIL I went for a ride," said Blazs. "Within about 15 minutes I noticed something was different with the engine. The clutch was suddenly smooth as silk when I let out, and the sudden lurch from clutch grabbing was gone as well."

Blazs said the loud gear snapping clunk of the bike going into gear was reduced to the normal sound of a gear being engaged, and that the engine sounded much smoother running.

:I can see an engine that is long in the tooth with high mileage getting smoother, but this is a one-year-old motorcycle with an engine that is still very new," said Blazs.

Blazs now uses AMSOIL 20W-50 Motorcycle and has been problem free. He was so pleased with the results that he changed the rear drive unit to AMSOIL as well and recommends AMSOIL to all of his friends. He even requested that the shop where he has his bike serviced stock AMSOIL as that will be the only oil he will use from now on.
